"The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you
Don't go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the door sill
where two world touch.
The door is round and open
Don’t go back to sleep.

We offer a one or two year program in interfaith ministry leading to ordination as an interfaith/interspiritual minister. Our students will then be qualified to perform wedding ceremonies, baby namings/blessings and all other life-cycle ceremonies, and the ordination can open doors to chaplaincy, starting your own worship community, spiritual counseling, and much more. It also prepares you for being able to meet any person where they are, and be able to help and pray with them, and see them as they truly are.

Our classes run from September through May. Our First Year Program is completely online and includes live phone bridge and teleconferencing discussion critique and Q & A periods. The Second Year Program is again online, it also includes mandatory attendance at three intensive weekends

Our seekers are adults from early 20’s through their 70’s and come from a variety of ethnic, religious, spiritual and educational backgrounds. All seekers of Light are welcome, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, color, race or creed. Our students come from many places in the world, including Australia, the Caribbean, Canada and Europe.

Student Requirements:

To fully participate in NVIS classes our students must be able to write at a college level, understand, write and speak English fluently, have a working knowledge of how to access and use the Internet using a computer, as well as basic computer skills in Microsoft Office software (Word and Publisher.)

Our Students

Our students come from all over the world, as close as Connecticut and as far away as Australia and we also have a student in the Carribean island of Bermuda. The one thing that brings them all together is their passion to learn about what it takes to become powerful and versatile Interfaith/Interspiritual Minister. Distance Learning students are expected to be self-starters and leaders in their own lives. There is a mandatory Opening Day meet and greet class on the first day of course as well as follow-up phone bridges and/or webinars twice each month, where the class dean and other class mates will complete that month’s module with discussions and critiques of assigned materials. All course A/V elements will be available via live stream in the school library for later review.

Accelerated Students

Our One Year Program is for students who hold Masters or higher degrees in one of the following areas:

Psychology, Theology, Counseling, Social Work, Pastoral Education, World/Ancient Religions or Higher Energies, and who have done advanced work on their own spiritual growth.

The course work includes all the materials and assignments from the First and Second Year programs, plus advanced work specifically designed for the accelerated student. Accelerated students must participate in both sets of classes, by participating fully in the First and Second Year online classes plus the phone bridge / webinar program as well as the mandatory attendance for the three intensive weekends required of second year students during the year. (Weekend intensives are held at the NVIS center in Elmsford, NY.)

They must attend the second year retreat at the end of the school year: a six day retreat with the rest of the second year students usually held at a location close to New York City.

We will also be instituting new programs in deep spiritual practice and grounding processes, as well as experiencing earth energies and participating in global ritual.

As this is as challenging as a ‘Masters Level’ program, it is suggested that the applicant not be enrolled in any other College level program during this year of study.
